Bobbye is an award winning artist whose artistic endeavors only began after retiring from a career in education.   Her passion for color is apparent as you explore her watercolor and pastel work.  

Bobbye enjoys painting en plein air on a regular basis with a group of artists who have access to inspiring locations throughout San Luis Obispo County, including many historic ranches, farmland, old Victorians and private homes along California’s central coast.  She also paints in her studio using photographs taken while hiking the beaches and hillsides near her home.

She is the author of “Art Aardvark” published by The Learning Works, Santa Barbara, and is currently writing / illustrating a children’s book with imaginative “Pig” characters filling various rolls in the workforce.  Her interests are varied and include past SCUBA diving adventures, hiking, gardening, photography and, finally, the pursuit of a lifelong passion for art. She and her husband and four-legged critters reside in Los Osos, CA.

Bobbye is a member of the Pastel Society of Southern California; Pastel Society of the West Coast; San Luis Obispo Museum of Art and volunteers at Pacific Wildlife Care, Morro Bay, CA.
